What part of "resident" of Massachusetts do these clowns not grasp???
I'd like to know this as well. Perhaps it's changed and the moment someone sets foot in MA they are a resident in these people's minds?
It seems like a pretty simply concept - someone living in MA falls on hard times, ends up without a home and the state steps in to help out. NOT someone travels up here from Ecuadaor with 4 kids in tow in search of a better life, shows up in MA with no money, no clothes, nothing and the state now has to help them by giving them a home and scrambling to get their kids in school...meanwhile others living in the state are struggling and no one has a clue.
[quote=notghinsaw;66280106]Not sure if that's true. During my recent trip to Cali my $500/night hotel was full of migrants. I found it pretty silly that one person has to pay $500 for it and another one enjoys it absolutely for free coming down for breakfast in his pajamas. Chances are cape
I would have checked out of that hotel, the moment I found out what was going on there. I would not be comfortable paying expensive hotel rates, while migrants stay free paid for by taxepayers.
I was in a hotel in Worcester about a year ago and now there quite a few foreign people in pajamas getting breakfast. It was odd. Looking back I think they must have been living at the hotel.

This seems to be a statewide phenomenon....not just limited to hotels where migrants are living. Whenever I go to a grocery store or in a Dunkin it's almost a given to see at least one person in pjs! You know, the flannel kinds with mickey mouse prints or whatever. lol

I've noticed it also especially at Walmart in No Attleboro. Of course at that Walmart you are likely to see just about anything.
so basically any homeless person can schlep their a s s to MA and be given a place to stay. What a right, what a stupid law.
not exactly, it's for low-income Massachusetts families with children under 21 or pregnant women who meet certain eligibility requirements. I'm sure state officials have some discretion.
Students kicked out of their school so migrants can be housed in the school. Now the kids have to go remote.
How can the parents stand for it ?
