People travel here for docs and stuff, I wouldn't limit yourself to something within a 20 minute drive (for example). I suggest you open up your search to a larger geographical area. The suburbs west of boston are crawling with all kinds of psychiatrists--for example, Lexington is a hotbed of psychiatry.

You also might want to ask your school's guidance counselor for a recommendation--but only go for it if they are truly enthusiastic. If they're wishy washy forget it.

Thanks for the info clevedark, but there are a lot of whacky shrinks out there. Does anyone have specific experience with a decent adolescent psych in the Northborough region?

I've heard good things about Susan Hoge...but am not sure if she specializes in adolescents
