We have two small kids and planning to settle in or near Mansfield.
Do you recommend any apartments near that area?
What are the pros and cons of that are?

If you got private responses, no problem. Mansfield has a variety of apartments. Foxboro, one town over has more I think. I do not rent but we are near apartments and condos with rentals. Did you find info you were looking for?
