Public broadcasting does often come across with a fairly lefty vibe, but like The Economist, it’s usually at least sober and well-considered, lacking the sensationalism of cable news (yes, you too, Fox).

As far as that quote, it probably would have been well for her to not say Trump specifically. There’s a grain of truth in there that the media is supposed to hold politicians - including the president, any president - accountable.

Unfortunately, some of his followers think this is cute and shows strength, when it actually shows how fragile his ego is and how weak he is.

No, he absolutely does not talk down to "people". This is funny because IMHO, it's not hard to find real things to be critical of, and this is not one of them. It violates the very reason he's so popular with all the 'regular' people. He talks plainly to people with no pretense. He only talks down to those who have been rude to him. And he does that ruthlessly.

Ugh, this is not collusion? Funny, how definitions change.

Yes, reporting is reporting the news. In order to report the news, reporters must ask questions. When those questions go unanswered, a good reporter asks again. And again. And again. And again.

The White House reporters are being good reporters when they don't allow a question to go unanswered. Journalism 101.

If you don't like the facts, that's your problem.

I believe in free speech so don't want to silence dissenting opinions like progressives do.

Left wing political activists pretending to be reporters need to be more transparent because too many people who watch their networks aren't smart enough to know real reporting from propaganda. There should be a disclaimer similar to the one on shows about metaphysical topics: "For entertainment purposed only."

You mean like some of the posters on this thread who can't tell the difference between opinion and fact when they are presented in a televised discussion or in print media?

Pot ... kettle.

If the presstitutes weren't such aggrandizing egomaniacs and asked the damn question instead of lecturing the President of the US to get their 'gotcha' moment, Trump wouldn't need to expose them to the audience of millions watching these briefings.

You insult the President, you insult Americans. How stupid are the media that they don't understand that? That is why their approval ratings and audience are far lower than our President's.

The Media, especially the likes of PBS, NBC. MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, etc are purely DEMOCRAT PROPAGANDA these days. They aren't news agencies, and they don't "report". They only push the far left, Democrat agenda through making up or changing the narrative. They are liars.

I saw these tag team tactics in action at today's briefing. Three different presstitutes asking the same question and smirking when one of their fellow presstitutes re-asked it. Trump answered it the same way every time! Sean Spicer used to handle the hacks with "Asked and answered." Trump should do the same.

This is a good education for people who thought the media was honest. They can see the fake news in action now with their own eyes. Media suicide: It's a beautiful thing!

And I just love how you say to ”take her quote into account” when the Leftist media does just the oppposite when they use Trump quotes out of context to smear him, like literally all the time. They don’t like it when they get a taste of their own medicine.

I wouldn't fret over it.

We know the losers hate Trump, and folks like me.

Let's rejoice and be grateful.

The fact the Anti-Trump losers are screaming their heads off again and gripping because they see the America lead by President Donald J. Trump and the rest of the world eventually will get past this stupid bug and will be the stronger for it.

They have nothing!

And no, some of these reporters are not interested in getting information but to get someone entrapped by their leading and deceptive questions. For example, they want Trump to say something that they can use as a headline to smear him. Trump refuses to fall into their trap and then you claim he is not answering their question.

No, you are the one being fooled by the media. This is no longer the old days where journalists are impartial and have integrity. Most now have a Leftist agenda and only want to promote their Leftist agenda by helping Democrats and vilifying Republicans.
Exactly. Good post.
