I need recommendations for an extended stay hotel/apt/house. I will be starting rent for an apt downtown in June, but need to start work mid May. I will need to rent something for two weeks or so. Do any if you have recommendations on extended stay places? I have seen $99/week at Campaige Place on 2715 Cherry Road, does anyone know about this place? Is it safe?

I've never heard of Campaigne Place, bit I would be cautious of any facility which charged $99 a week. Value Place Extended Stay is at the Sycamore View exit of I-40, less than a 20 minute shot to Downtown anytime but the heart of rush hour. I believe I read $199 on their sign, but it could have been cheaper. It is rated highly for cleanliness & amenities and has internet access and of course free parking. You shouldn't expect anything much cheaper than this, IMO and get cleanliness and good location.

That is not the best part of town. You will probably be fine, but there is a very high chance that your car may get broken into. I would look for something else.

That little area is safe enough for the money whereas the joint over on Cherry Road is just really not for the faint of heart all soo much.

There is an extended stay off Riverdale near 385. This is also on the fringe of some not too great parts of town, but I have known people to stay there without incident.
