I thought it would be intresting to find out what sort of mental health services and aid, each state provides. My state, Montana, for example, has day treatment, but we might be loosing it due to fund cuts. The day treatment is a program where people with mental illnesses gather and do activities that teaches them propper social behavior, coping skills, and independant living skills. It's made a tremendous difference in my life.
Unfortunately we don't have much hope for assistance when were in crissis and in need of medical attention but are without insurance. I'm with out insurance. I have MHSP to help me with meds and counseling, but when I go into crisis, I'm pretty much screwed, unless I want another huge medical bill on my hands.
