What is the point of these threads? Violence happens everywhere. Do you go to other locations on this website and post shootings from their local news? I just don't see the purpose...

The same thing are reported in the USA threads. Are you a narco who wants to suppress journalism? People are intitled to both good and the bad.

This was most likely a drug cartel hit. Almost all the murders of this type are rival cartel battles or revenge killings. In the U.S. there is more dangerous random crime like the shootings in a Sikh Temple, a movie theater, police serving eviction papers, etc.

Mexico has it's share of horrific crimes, such as the butchering or other types of killings of large groups of people. Scores at a time. More than 15,000 "disappeared" persons assumed dead. More than 100,000 killed in the war. The problems have been so much more severe than the isolated but troublesome recent events in the USA. Not all of these crimes in Mexico are involving people involved in illegal activity such as the drug trade. Many innocent people are being killed. Though, it is important to keep these incidents in perspective. But violence impacts people in different ways. Some people don't pay much attention to it unless it's in their front yard, others look at a broader picture. There's no right/wrong way. It's a valid story for a forum such as this and we can take from it as we find appropriate.

My point is if you read a city thread for a USA city, you will read about local killings. Nothing wrong with posting what is happening in your country or another country or your community.

Well, if you look at the profile of "mexicomike", he has started 14 threads, and the last 6 are about murders in Mexico. It just makes me wonder what his agenda is.
