Oribe Peralta scored in the 61st minute as Mexico defeated Cameroon 1-0 in their FIFA World Cup opener in Natal on Friday.

I know many people still don't believe Mexico would make a good tournament, but this sure give us some hope...

I don't think they will take it home, but I sure hope they make it to the semi-finals. Let's see how they do against Brasil on Tuesday!

The Netherlands kicked a$$ though!

Yep. Spain got steamrolled. I think they are going to bounce back though.

I think Mexico should take notes of Spain lose. Mexico tries to do the tiki-taka just like Spain. Although a very good strategy, a huge disadvantage is when you are far behind on the scorecard and you need to take more chances to score and catch up. Spain was unable to do that because the tiki-taka is a patient based strategy which takes safety of risk.

Mexico needs to finish up and score goals.

They would have yesterday if the assistant referee hadn't blown a few off-sides.

-Cheers.

Memo Ochoa really saved the team, wow.

I've always thought he was an excellent goalie, Hopefully he gets the recognition he deserves.

AMAZING! Mexico beat the lowest ranked team in the entire tournament by one point! Viiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiva Mexico! Lol.

The draw against Brazil was decent, but lets see what happens when they play Croatia.
