it is very tough.
we communicate via Google Translate and it's caused a few heated arguments already.
yesterday, she was about to dump me because of an incorrect translation.

in a way it's kind of cool.. because you have to rely on other ways to communicate.
You truly get to know that person.
But it can be tedious, hard work, and takes serious dedication.

ie. we made plans to meet in front of Forum at OXXO. however there were 3 OXXOs all close by. i couldn't understand a word via phone. plans must be nailed down and precise. of course, this lead to a huge argument as well

Obviously.. dating someone who doesn't speak your language is not for the faint of heart.
if at all possible, find someone who speaks your language.

Thank God we are both committed.

Lastly.. work with what your mama gave ya!
- shower, brush your teeth, stay kempt, use deodorant, take care of yourself, and wear clothes that compliment your style/size/etc.

I hate to admit it.. but Mexican Men can NOT dress for *ish.
They wear Red with Yellow, Green, etc.
The worst is this new "Skinny Jeans" thing.. some have taken it overboard.
It's sooooo tight, from behind, they look like females.
I wanna throw up.
Another is "Skinny Pants".. it looks like MC Hammer pants.
it's baggy up top but real tight in the legs, LOL.
Are these people blind or just Sheeple?

Just because Rappers wear it.. doesn't make it cool.
Use your own funkin' eyes!

A little off the main subject matter but the clothes thingy is what the mfgs have shoved down the peoples throats.

It is the same here in Rosarito. Black seems to be the NEW color fad and as mentioned....skin tight on the legs.\\

Other clothes and styles make me just wonder what the h*** is going on.

Ages ago I bought some Calif T shirts and gave a couple to a friend in Mexico City for his teen daughters who were in secondary school.

They wore them to school and the friends went crazy over them and wanted to know were they were purchased.

Girls were envied.

Problem as I saw it back them has to do with Licensing Laws. One company makes and then sells to lower sellers down the line.......a controlled system even today from what I see.

honestly..
im not the bar type.
i don't like being pressured.

i meet girls on the streets, metrobus, OXXO, my hostel, just walking.
as i've mentioned multiple times: i stand out.
where ever i go, people stare.
it's probably a combination of my clothing, facial features, and personality.
they can tell im not from here.

my secret is to act like im a worthy prize,
and don't sweat or drool over them.
i let girls im attracted to, know.
but am nonchalant about it.
if i get her.. good.
if not, there's plenty of fish in the sea.

as stated before,
here in Mexico.. i get lots of attention.
not complaining, just surprised.

good luck.

im a product of the 90s.
i grew up in the concrete jungle.
where it was rough, and you had to be ready for anything.

thus i love the rough, comfy, new york look of the 90s.

ie.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hOZaTGnHU4

to this day, i wear (low/mid top) timberlands.
when i first got here.. i was the only one w/timberlands.
now? a few of my neighbors went out and bought brand new timbs

my pants are loose, casual, comfortable.
(anything but tight!)
