Venezuela is a central state run economy that wasn't managed well. It has nothing to do with real socialism.

If you want an authoritarian model of socialism, look at Thomas Sankara: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Sankara

If you want a free model of socialism, look at the progress being made in Zapatista territory (or in the free territories post ww1).

Venezuela has much more in line with the United States' commodity/value run economy.

Wtf = "Venezuela … has nothing to do with real socialism."

There is authoritarian socialism like Burkina Faso under Sankara, not a model I support but still a beneficial one.

Venezuela runs their economy based off of oil valuations and has a cash based society where the private industry is controlled by the state.

Socialism is a workers run society, not a state run capitalist society. Also, you should look beyond titles, according to Kim, North Korea is a democracy.

Exactly.

The only difference between mafia and government is that the latter operates in the name of legality.

This is a trustworthy axiom the world over since the year one.

Listen, if you've enjoyed light, water, air and fresh food, it was a great day no matter what country.

Good Luck!

Anarchism is the soul of socialism.

Viva la Mexico!
If it is so great, why are people fleeing mexico by the millions?

Don't forget the thousands murdered each year in your list of issues.

It's because their government is corrupt and private power (the cartel, telecom companies, etc.) hold the people down.

But the Mexican spirit, from the zaptistas, to the anarchist movement in the 30s, is one that will win the day.
