You have to have a US address, and provide proof of living at that residence.

Walking across will be with a few hundred others real early in the AM. The BP lets about 10 people at a time cross (from the ground buttons that mark the border) to the actual person checking ID's...keeps people from bunching up.

Once thru the bldg you can walk across the street to a Metro rail that will take people to downtown San Diego with many stops on the way. Greyhound Bus is also there.

Many Mexicans who work in Calif...Americans who live in TJ but work in SD...school children...some American or those Anchor babies are eligible for US education cross during the week.

I personally crossed on foot one time amongst some children and the BP person asked what school they were going to and waved them on thru the turnstyle.

There are many Americans in TJ and Rosarito...some owning property...some renting...some with a FM2/FM3 and others propbably without either. Too many Americans here to make any one person stand out. There are some who just have a weekend place that is owned/rented for vacation needs.

Four lots over from me is a place that a older couple each with a Harly (his/hers) who come down for the weekend only.

Hope this little info helps.

Steve
Oh so bp officers allow students to not have to wait in the line and just go ahead and enter the turnstyle to that line ? This would be a great relief as I am planning on commuting everyday and am a student.

Some good news for the Pedestrians crossing at TJ into San Ysidro. (Todays FOX News)

They opened some NEW Kiosks for those walking in to cut down the long lines and waiting time.

Neighbor here said that they also opened up the 24 car lanes.....just hearsay on my part but he watches the Mexican News on TV for what it's worth.

With the construction going on crossing by car has been a hassle time wise.

I think it only applies to elementary school students.

I was in TJ last Friday, and used one of the new kiosks. I stood in line and used the next one that opened up. When you put your card on the scanner, it's read immediately, and if it's green, you move to the next available officer right away. I watched the video, and it's very easy, but there is an officer in line showing people how to use it.

Motorcycle is the way to go. I commutted that way to Mission Valley for 3 years from Playas De Tijuana. It was a 30 minute drive to work in the morning and 30 minutes to get home.
Save on gasoline and my rent was super cheap. I miss TJ.

If by "Mexico" you mean Tijuana, then I would say Playas De Tijuana, Colonia Aviacion, Zona Rio, Cubres de Juarez, Chapultepec, Colinas de Agua Caliente, Hipodromo, Madero...among others.

Hi I am thinking on moving from San Diego to Tijuana and enroll my son on a private school in Tijuana as well we both have our SENTRI pass and I would be using it to cross every day to work, I will be going personally to a the SENTRI office to change my residential address from Sand Diego to Mexico, there shouldn't be any issues right?

Regards

It's all done online, you don't into an office "personally," unless you have an appointment.
