Another hit and run
Driver Stares At Dying Accident Victim, Then Flees « CBS Miami – News, Sports, Weather, Traffic and Miami's Best
This is sure getting out of hand. All these hit and run either the driver was drunk, or no insurance or license. I think these hit and run cases need to be taken seriously. Throw a book at the driver life in jail or death maybe people will take hit and run more serious.

Another this morning - 3 dead:

Three Dead, One Hurt In Miami Hit & Run - Breaking News - MiamiHerald.com (http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/01/02/1997115/three-dead-one-hurt-in-miami-hit.html - broken link)

Incidents like this should make national news. A crackdown is well overdue. No one wants to take responsibility at local government level.

I bet if they catch the person, he or she will only have to pay 10 thousand dollars. DISGUSTING!!!!

Just wait to see those human right defenders to say things like: " Not only they (evil criminals) will have to pay 10 thousand dollars, they could also loose their jobs and be denied of many future applications. Now that their credentials/records have been "blacklisted" , they won't be able to afford their current lifestyle anymore. Their future holds a life full of misery... that's already punishment enough" blablablablablah

ok, I made that up, but that's how they usually think. again... DISGUSTING!!!!...

We feel much the same way when we hear the family of people who do things like this say "but he's/she's such a good kid/person/etc!" Just the other day when we heard about this guy getting shot having a long rap sheet. Family members said:

Although (Name) had a lengthy criminal record, his family does not believe he deserved to die. "He was a good boy. I raised him. I raised good children. I had seven kids. I raised my kids."

I just wonder what constitutes a "good kid" in their book Geez, then what does that make my kid, the one who's never been in a lick of trouble in his life?

It amazes me how many people try to make excuses for those family members that do things like this. No wonder people don't take responsibility for their actions - those around them make excuses for them and support their behavior. Enabelers.
