Lots of Cuban-Americans in top business positions and top government positions in the past couple of decades, though their numbers have declined as a proportion of the population (more people from other places in Latin America have come here)

I don't wish to offend you, but you should be asking:

How influential are Cubans in Miami?

I am not an Anglo snob or anything such, but I do feel that we should attempt to speak and write English correctly. It's already a Patois-like language.

Cuban-Americans are a power house in Politics, from 1996 to currently the Mayors of Miami have been Cuban-Americans.

I can list you alot of Cuban-Americans but since you said in Miami then that's all i can provide .

Maybe he was attempting to write it correctly and thought the results were correct.

And yes, Cubans are very influential in Miami. We even have such thing as "cuban bread"... rather funny considering it was first made by a sicilian in America.

I guess it's because they're richer than the other latinos in the area, and more of them are US-born and educated, it's important.Anyway, I know so much of them continue to come in Florida, so they decline as a proportion, but not in raw numbers.

Cubans have indeed decreased in Miami, they've moved to better cities for more opportunities.
