Hello. I am planning to visit Miami with some friends towards the end of the summer. We are debating on whether to go there on 08/18 -21, or 09/01 - 04. My friend is saying it's best to go on 08/18 - 21, bcuz that's before the school starts and there will be more people there and it will be more fun. Do you think that there will be a difference in the quality of the trip between those two time periods?

Also, Where is the best area to stay given that we are three guys in early to mid 20's. South beach??

thanks!

Out of those dates I would suggest August just because there will be the normal summer crowds. Sept 5 is Labor Day Holiday so you will have a lot more people in town, hotel room prices will be higher, the beaches will be much more crowded that weekend. August is the second rainest month traditionally (we have had a late start to rainy season this year so it will be interesting how much rain we will get in August or not). Mid September is peak Hurricane Season fyi.
