I've been looking at the threads for a bit now and in light of the most recent "e-drama" I was reminded of a quote.

But, before I do, my advice to anyone looking to move to Miami is to study the awesome demographics data that city-data.com has on Miami Here and then look for local news at the Miami Herald and Sun Sentinel so you can get a better understanding of the cultural attitudes and differences of opinion.

Remember, you wouldn't ask a stranger how to raise your kids, and you shouldn't rely on a stranger for what may be the biggest decision of your life. Call real estate offices, ask city professionals, check out the education and crime levels of the neighborhoods you're considering.

Remember, Miami has the wealthiest zip code in America as well as the poorest... There's a little something for everybody.

My advice is to do your own due diligence and gather all of the data you can from credible sources then make an informed decision. I also advise you to come down for a trip and experience a neighborhood first hand. And the most practical advice I can give you about home shopping comes from Barbara Corcoran of The Corcoran Group "If you want to know about a neighborhood the house you're considering is in, go at night." You'll be able to see how a neighborhood really moves at night.

If you ever have any questions go ahead and skype me, I'm not in the forum section that much.

As for that quote:

“Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do.”
-Benjamin Franklin

But in all seriousness... why would someone move to an area without checking out for themselves first?

I appreciate malcom60616's post. Some of the people on here are great and very helpful. Others seem to just be bitter complainers who I think wouldnt be happy anywhere. These people arent helpful and really shouldnt be on this site.

Malcoms posts are always terrific. Very upbeat and positive, I just can't give him anymore rep yet!

As for the others, it's better to just stear clear of em'. I refuse to read certain other threads where there's nothing but negativity. The moderator will delete negative posts as he see's fit.

I've been accused of viewing South Florida through "rose colored glasses". Ha! LOL. As I see it, we all have choices in life. Some choose to be happy, others choose to be miserable and spread it around. My choice is happiness. It just works for me.
