I just moved to Palmetto Bay/Pinecrest from Broward County and need someone to explain something to me: Why in God's name is there an ABSURD amount of traffic at the intersections of US1 and SW 184 Street and also at US1 and SW 136 Street? ........it's not heavy traffic, NO!........it's the traffic one finds when there has been an accident or a ZOMBIE INVASION!!!.......what is going on????........I swear I'll move to Naples, Florida if I have to!!

US1 is always clogged. I never go it because they are always doing construction. I can give you other routes if you want on the side streets.

I work in doral and and a second office in Kendall, I usually take 87 th north to 168, then 82 all the way to 124 west to 87 th again to baptist or doral.

Study a map 87, 82, 77, old cutler, and 67 go all through palmetto bay and Pinecrest. Remember you can go out west on caribbean, 184, 152 to the turnpike and these sides streets to navigate.

It took us a month to figure the best routes.

A lot of people use eureka drive to get to and from the turnpike, so it is a traffic nightmare at times. While trying to visit a friend in the area, I know to avoid coral reef drive and eureka for that reason.

LOL..Try the Palmetto or the Dolphin when there's an accident...then come back on here and report.

FYI, the other annoying US1 intersections are 57th ave and 27th ave, especially going south any time after about 3 pm, even on a weekend.
