Are you driving all the way there solely for the purpose of Ikea? Just curious...

Been there twice in November:

Sat 11/02 early in the morning, no problems getting a parking spot, wasn't too crowded.

Sat 11/09 in the afternoon. Crowded as hell, was lucky they re-opened the parking garage right when I got there, otherwise I guess I would've parked next to the Bank Atlantic Center and then taken one of those trams to get to Ikea.

Might need to go there again for a small desk and a chair.

I went to the Ikea in Sunrise and set aside the entire morning. Go early and you won't have any problems. It is a wonderful store, the prices are equally as wonderful.

Ok a little update...I was only going to go to the one in Sunrise If I needed to drive my sister home down in Plantation, however her boyrfriend was able to pick her up and drive her back down, so I decided to go to the one in Orlando since it's only an hour away and it was great!! I went on a sunday afternoon (yesterday) and it was so packed we had to park out in an open dirt field, but other than that the store was great. The swedish meatballs were to die for!! The only negative I have to say is that the store was HUGE (about 3 times the size of a super walmart) and my feet and legs were killing me. Lol. I reccomend everybody experience it!!

Sorry to say but if I were to spend a little (affordable) money on furniture and the like, I would not buy from Ikea no matter what. I have my reservations about those store, btw, they are all over in Houston.

Well - Ikea furniture is notoriously low quality. What is really good are the lighting and accessories - and the Kitchens (ranked near the top for 1/3rd the price by consumer reports). If you need dishes, glasses, that sort of stuff - its really really good.
