Great stuff!

I hope they can come up with a way to connect with Midtown, which is presumably where the FEC commuter rail station would be. An enclosed, air-conditioned pedestrian overpass across 195 and NE 36th with a newsstand or two, perhaps? Better yet, put that stretch of 195 underground using dig-and-fill construction to free up $Bns of land for development!

Midtown needs access to public transport for sure!

They can start by running Route J more frequently. This can be done NOW just by investing in a few more busses! (Either that, or run the trolleys out to Allapattah Station...right now the only direct Trolley connection between Midtown and the Metrorail is way down in Brickell). Having it actually enter Midtown would be good too, given the situation with having to cross 36 ST. Think about it: Route J connects the airport, Metrorail (Allapattah station), Midtown, and the Beach. It takes around 10 minutes to go the 2 miles to Allapattah station, and 15-20 minutes to Collins on the Beach! It *used* to also go to Miracle Mile.... It also could go down to Lincoln Road. Why is this route not running every 10-15 minutes throughout the day and into the evening (e.g., until the Midtown stores close up)?????
