Hey! I'm moving from NYC to Miami soon! My company is opening there as well (just a coincidence). I'm not going to be making the same amount of money so I want to ask the locals for their advice. I'm a single mother of a 5 months old and Im looking for something 800-900 max. I know is a low budget but I need to think about my others expenses. What neighborhoods are the safest (under that budget)? My company will be at coral springs and I don't mind driving for 40 minutos to an hour. Thank you for the help!

You don't want to be in Miami-Dade County. Too expensive and it's a long drive to Coral Springs. I'd suggest looking in northern Broward or Palm Beach County.

Your budget will go further the further north you can go. Northern Broward or Southern PBC.

That's all.

Thank you all...I'm still open for specific neighbors. Like NYC I will suggest inwood..not as expense as downtown, safe and everything is close!

Because commuting from Miami to Coral Springs is stupid when you are moving down here and have the choice to live anywhere.

im in colorado now, but born and raised in Miami. 800 900 a month wont get you anything. better find a room mate in a small shack or efficiency.

coral springs you can probably get something for about 900 - 1200
room mates, obviously will be cheaper.

Live in Coral Springs. If you live farther away not only will you likely have to increase your housing budget more significantly, but also your overall budget to account for tolls and gas. Not to mention your commute times could easily exceed an hour or more each way.
