if you use the crime statistics this website provides miami has a higher crime rate than compton.

here is the average crime rate for miami

I dont know anyone that choose to live in either, honestly. But these stats are based on a per capita basis, which is how it should be conducted. Not based on number of incidents alone.

I agree Miami over Compton any day but its still ill run has its pros like you noted but needs big improvements in other avenues which don't forsee ever happening.
