Agree...this isn't something that happens every day in Kendall...

what is funny is that SW 8st. between SW 127 Ave. & SW 137 Ave. is not really Kendall to begin with! Most would agree that the West Kendall area starts south of SW 40th. St. / Bird Road and bordered on the east by the FL Turnpike.
The area described is west of Sweetwater and most so called "gang members" in that area are young middle class "punks" not some hard core gangbangers!

Miccosukee is 177 ave (Krome). You are 40 blocks off. Yes some of the kids around that area (or any part of 8 st) can be gansta-wanna be.

I've seen a lot of increased crime in the Western parts of 8 st & 24st lately(Westchester). A lot of shoplifting, burglaries, you know smaller crimes but the most dangerous criminals in SW Miami tend to be in the Grove, South Miami, Goulds, Homestead and Naranja.

I know...I know that specific trailer park. Used to be inhabited by rednecks and inbreds. A lot of shooting, gambling and assaults, a lot of hookers. Gansta wannabes are kids that behave like stupid kids, but in that specific trailer park there were bikers and their rings.

Maybe demographics have changed, but any change is for the better.

Try to look on the bright side, at least they'll have the new Baptist Hospital out on Kendall and 160th to take them to when they get shot.

I've lived in Kendall for 30yrs. It use to be known more for grow houses back in the days. How times do change.

Gosh, Kendall used to be such a nice place to live. Just another part of Miami that has gone down the toilet I suppose. It's too bad Miami couldn't have frozen in time sometime before the mid 1980's.
Miami is a bizillion times better than Tampa.

What about the graffitis on Hammocks, Kendall Dr and 104 st across MDC? I've living 10 years here and never seen so much graffiti and dirty roads... Kendall used to be a desirable area to live, not today.
