Planning a family holiday vacation to the Keys for Christmas. What can we expect from the weather? Will it be warm enough to swim/snorkel?

Could be the OP is from Michigan , and is looking for a "northern perspective" ?
I used to spend many Christmas holidays in Key West. depending on the cold fronts, it can be cold, jacket weather , or hot humid in the 90s.

Just a note: Key West is like no other place in the US mainland. Its the only sub-tropical spot you can drive to, and the 150 mile trip down the Keys highway , is worth the whole thing.
Having a place in the U.P. and spending parts of winter in the Keys is not a bad deal at all....Somestimes I wish I had not sold my beach house down there....its all about the contrast...one end of US 41 to the other....think about it.

Could also be that the OP has only had 3 posts in the last 6 months and probably hasn't been here enough to realize they posted to the wrong forum.

Whats traffic like down that way in winter? I HATE traffic more then anything, and thats why I love Michigan and my little town. I hate traffic more then I hate hot humid weather! Well....it may be a tie.
