is for sunny skies and highs in the mid-50s, even warmer tomorrow with projected high of 59 beautiful degrees!

LOL to the folks (trolls) who skulk around C-D claiming that Michigan has
"eight months of winter"...

Oh, and happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Hope your day is filled with happiness, family fun, lots of turkey, and of course, a big, fat win for the Lions!

I love it too, along with pretty much everything else about Michigan. I am a native Ohioan, but I have to say that I have fallen deeply and hopelessly in love with my adopted state. You know it's serious when you are no longer afraid to be the only proud Wolverines fan in a family of diehard Buckeyes who bleed scarlet and gray. Oh, well...GO BLUE!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

As far as the weather goes, yes, this warmth will end soon, very soon. The winter is still expected to be colder and more snow then normal, and tells me that it may last well into April with lingering snows to May.

I previously lived in Cincinnati, but I hear more people in Michigan talk about the Buckeyes than the people in Cincinnati.

LOL right back at you, the forecast that you posted the link to calls for a high of 56 in Detroit tomorrow and clearing skies. I live south of Detroit, so the figure that I quoted of 59 degrees, which I got off of the Weather Channel's website, appears to be spot on. Cloud cover is no big deal, unless you happen to be a glass half empty kind of person, which I'm not. Life's too short to be so negative, isn't it?

The point is TODAY'S forecast was originally supposed to be clear and sunny, which is wasn't. The other point also is Thanksgiving has a tendency to be overcast around these parts, so I pretty much had a inkling anyway that the originally Sunny forecast was bullish. I wouldn't be suprised if Friday's forecast plays out the same way either. Note, earlier, the forecast for Friday was Mostly Sunny now it's Mostly Cloudy with GRADUAL clearing.

That's why people talk about Michigan weather like they do. Even the nice days can turn out to be pure crap. And for 90% of the country it does feel like winter 8 months of the year with all the cloudy days here (cloudiest state in the country outside the Pacific NW). To each their own of course, but they don't criticize Michigan weather because it's big bad mean ol' Michigan and their jealous, they have good reasons, and I can understand because I also hate the excessive cloudy weather.
