Hiya
The past few Christmases, my family and I have stayed along the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. This past year was a bit of a bust due to lack of snow and it made the trip feel kind of cramped instead of the usual outdoorsy fun we have.
Because the UP always seems to get a good amount of snow, and the main objective when we go is to ski/snowshoe, etc...Ironwood seems like a pretty logical choice. Its about equal distance from my residence in Minneapolis (4 hours), so that's a plus.
My question is, does anyone have any recommendations on cool lodging/resort type places to stay? The one we've been staying at in northern MN (Bluefin Bay) is kind of a condo/townhouse type of deal, so something comparable to that. Preferably nicer than just a conventional hotel, but it doesnt need to be super extravagant. We aren't made of money, after all
