It's awesome. Played ice hockey outside for two hours yesterday and then got some Tim Horton's and honey cruller donuts. Saw a bunch of guys out riding their dirt bikes. Wishing I had one. You're missing out!

0 degrees and sunny. High is supposed to get to a mild 14 degrees. Might just be warm enough to take of a layer of socks!

if you ever see some winter pics from Upper Penninsula with frozen water cascading down, its awesome! But i like to view them from the comfort of my 72 degree home online, but still very pretty and dramatic!

Could be much worse, we could be living by my Brother in Northern Maine, it was -22 actual this morning with a projected high of -1 and the wind is supposed to kick up this afternoon driving chills down to the -40 and below region. (I have seen it an actual -50 there without the wind when I lived there... with the wind it was into the triple digits below 0)

I'll take this weather ANY day of the week over that crap again. Living there made me appreciate the weather we get here in MI a lot more.

Periodically, check the temps at Chicago vs the Lake Michigan shoreline in the Saugatuck to Holland area. Typically a few degrees warmer here. Check also the big lake's Wisconsin west shore vs the east, then the lakeshore vs mid Michigan..
Good thing about living near the lake except the tradeoff is lake effect snow.

Just came back from Southern Califrnia this morning. 80 there, feels like -80 here. Plus I got to spend two hours searching for my car int eh airport parking garage only to find out they towed it away. Walking around the parking garage in nothing but a trench coat and suit was RFC. spent a lot of time wishing I had missed my ffffflight.

Still I am enjoying this winter as a whole, just not today. I love clear crips days with no wind. It is exhilerating. I love the joyous feeling of a rare warm day in the middle of the cold (like this past Saturday when MI was 62 and Cal was in the 30s). It is not jsut "ho hum look another warm day. It is exciting, you gt pumped up and spend the whole day outside. Cancel any inside plans.

That can be neat.

Now last winter, I pretty much hated it all the way through. It is all about attitude. I have a better winter attituce this year. I am not even burned out on it yet. Give me another 6 weeks and if we do not get some warm like last year, I may eb fed up with it, ut for now? Bring it! I am armed with a good attitude and ready to enjoy winter.

Loving this weather! The bitter cold won't last long...and pretty soon it will be hot again....mid 20's!!
Now if we could get about a foot of snow, I will be in heaven...
