I am just wondering if there is a place you can go to buy all Michigan made products? If not, if someone were to start a business like this would it be a good idea? Do you think it would take off? If so why...if not why? Personally, I would love to be able to go to a nice place that sold only Michigan products, and if there is not one, I think it could be a great business to start! It would definitely be easy to get suppliers, and I think easy to get customers.

Driving from Detroit to Alpena the other day, I heard a commercial for such a store. It was either on Pinconning Road near ****awlin or it was on ****awlin Road near Pinconning. Well, heck, I at least got you into the right county! lol From the advertisement, it sounded as though many of the "Michigan" products were food items.

Wow! The economy must be really bad in Michigan when place names become swear words! In case you are not good at 'cipherin', the bleeped word is K-a-w-k-a-w-l-i-n.

yes, there is on mackinac island and one other somewhere, but they have an online store too
Michigan Peddler, Products of Michigan, Food, Wine, Gift Boxes and Baskets

i've bought some stuff from them in person and online....not bad stuff...many of it is from other stores that they just compile into one store...such as bullfrog candles or american spoon foods...

LOL! Great! Yes, I got that. I just think it would be a great way to see all Michigan has to offer in one place, and heck...maybe expand to all "USA" made products. Maybe it would catch on!

I looked at this and I assume many of the jams, food is made in Michigan but I wondered about the Pajama's and license plates (more what I would buy) .
I don't just want something that says Michigan I want something MADE in Michigan.

Hmmm...I am wondering if a larger, more centrally store would work. And yes, all products made in Michigan, just not something that says Michigan. Usually a small store in a touristy location is gonna be expensive, but thats fine. They do have to make their money in a small time frame, but a place where everything is affordable with all those great products you find in small stores all over the state would just be awesome if you ask me!

Seems to me there was a Michigan MAde store at Laurel Park or 12 Oaks years ago..lasted like a year or so before closing.

Sold that furniture made from pine branches, drift wood things and lots of pine cone accent pieces. Also carried candles, some paintings and textile products like rugs, towels and shirts..

Mostly stuff you might see in a cabin on LAke Huron in Oscoda...

On the michigan peddler website, they claim that it is all Michigan made.....not sure though since I've only bought food stuff from the website and while in the store I did not think to look at the tags.........except for the prices
