I don't know about Michigan-most states-thru the unemployment offices-offer free classes to improve ones job skills. Such as computer software, typing... Look into this and the same agency should also offer help as far as putting together a resume and how to interview well.

Idk about Flint's job market but if you have to live in Flint and have no options you can look closer to the Detroit area, commute to Auburn Hills or something may be a drive but you might have better options. There are a quite a few who do the "live in Flint area, work in Detroit area" thing. Lansing could be another option if you don't feel like dealing with the congestion of Detroit, there's alot more rural areas between Flint and Lansing which would probably make it an easier commute.

I commute from Genesee County to downtown Detroit every day. It is not ideal, but it is doable. Commuting to somewhere like Auburn Hills isn't bad at all. It takes me 25-30 minutes to get to Baldwin Road.

He is a troll that constantly bad mouths cities he's never even been to. Flint and Detroit are dangerous and crime ridden, so the fact that I live near one and work in the other supposedly says something about me.
