I've recently acquired a condo in the heart of downtown Birmingham. I have lived in Rochester for the past 3 years.. I move this spring.
I absolutely adore Birmingham, and have quite a few friends there. I know my way around the city and have been able to get a feel for the atmosphere for the most part but I'm still looking to locate a few things.
Oakland Athletic Club is closing this June.. and I was wondering what gyms were comparable in the area? I'd rather not drive very far for my workouts as I typically go in the early AM..
Other than 220, The Corner, and Chen what are some fun places to check out on the weekends? I'm in my 20's..
What SOS does everyone use? Also where do I register my pet? Are there any special permits to have your dog in the parks?
What other goodies should I know about my new city?
