I am a mechanic in Muskegon. The shop I work for isn't very busy and we don't to a lot of the more advanced work and I'm itching to get into it. What I guess I'm looking for is someone who works on cars on the side and could use a hand. Not so much for the money, but for the experience.

I've had to work a 2nd job for years now, but every time I get a part-time job it doesn't last long. I've worked at McDonald's, but my hours at the shop I work for changed and McDonald's could not work around these hours. I worked doing home improvement, but my boss (also neighbor) hired another guy because he wanted to buy a boat. I worked at another auto repair shop but all the jobs went to the full-timers and it wasn't worth my while. Finally, I worked construction and have been called off for 5 straight weeks. I'd prefer to return to working on cars.

If you know anyone around Muskegon who could use inexpensive help, please DM me. I'm ASE certified, honest and am ready for some good hands-on above and beyond what I do now. Thank you.

The only thing I can suggest is try going from place to place to these little shops that are all around Muskegon. There are some. I could write some of them but off hand I can't remember them all. Flannery's, Shell on Apple Ave, is a few that comes to mind. There are several little shops that are around Muskegon. All you have to do is drive around. You could look in the yellow pages. Just look. Good Luck.
