AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — A little geography snafu couldn't keep Michigan from being rocked by Bruce Springsteen.

The iconic rocker greeted his Palace of Auburn Hills audience Friday night with a hearty "Hello, Ohio!" — a reference he repeated several times over the next half hour before catching his mistake, with what appeared to be a whispered assist from guitarist Steven Van Zandt.

Indiana, Wisconsin or even Ontario we could live with, but Ohio oh that is too much. I bet the Boss being from New Jersey has no idea the rivalry we have with those buckeyes either.

Brian Johnson from AC/DC did the same thing a year ago when they played the Palace, although he said "Hello, Cleveland"! Does the Palace look like some venue in Ohio, or do these guys really have no idea where they are on any given night? They do play a hell of a lot of shows on those tours....

HAHA Ohio's venues blow Michigan's out of the water.... sorry. I am sure you haven't been to Nationwide Arena in Columbus? Voted best NHL arena in the NHL...

Well Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids isn't exactly chopped liver when it comes to great venues. The Motley Crue Carnival of Sins show aired on VH1 was entirely filmed there.

IDK about you, but to me, after touring for as many years as Springsteen has been at it, every venue actually would look the same, and if he did a string of concerts in Ohio followed by a string of concerts in Michigan, which is likely since Ohio and Michigan are border states and the bands travel by bus, he probably literally did forget where he was. It wouldn't be hard for me to do that, and I'm a lot younger and less traveled than the Boss. If you think about it, unless you were really paying attention, would Auburn Hills look any different than suburban Columbus or Cleveland, Ohio? Probably not. Just sayin'...

Columbus.
Blue Jackets.
'Nuf Said.

I don't care if the Red Wings are still playing in Joe Louis in 2050, I'd rather have our team in that place than be a fan of the Blue Jackets.

Uh, no haven't been to Nationwide. I don't set foot in Ohio unless it's totally neccessary. It's one of the least attractive places on earth, chock full of obnoxious antagonists, as we've just witnessed. You're sorry? No....I'M sorry! You're the one living in Ohio!
