I understand completely. I had a '69 GTO when I was in college. I asked my dad to sell it when I went overseas with the Air Force, but I miss that car to this day.

My first car was an Oldsmobile.

It took 132mph over train tracks and probably 10 feet of air (when it was passed on to my brother) to damage it enough to be determined "totaled", and even though the nose was crunched up pretty well, it drove away, not a leak, not a creak, not a damn thing wrong with it.

Now I'm driving the family Chevy (mine, love it), Chrysler, and Ford.

Never had a problem with any of them other than a window motor going out on the Chrysler.

Love me some 'Murrican cars, would never buy anything else.

Yeah, sadly. They make mechanically sound cars, but their marketing, interior, and goals are all wrong. They're too concerned with horsepower and not enough with ride quality, comfortable interiors, and fuel economy.

Though I'm not complaining personally. I make the drive to Michigan from Kentucky at LEAST twice per month, have for over a year. It's my little escape.

I75 is pretty flat, and 500 ponies makes for a good time.

The G8 is a great car, I've driven one myself. I like Dodge... God... I wish they would wisen up and produce some fuel efficient cars and fix their interiors so they could save the brand.

I've always dreamed of owning a Viper

Hang in there with Chrysler, everybody. Your legitimate concerns have been addressed and are in the process of being turned around. So much has already been done that hasn't been made public and I think that's a mistake on their part. Sergio apparently doesn't believe in small announcements - only large ones.
My first car was a 1982 Chevy Camaro that I drove until I married the Chrysler employee. Really enjoyed cruising around in it. Grew up with American cars and have no need for anything else.

Any details? I'd like to see the American version of the Fiat 500, that kind of "cool" car is exactly what Chrysler needs to bounce back.

Of course, they better keep the Challenger and Charger coming! I got my doors blown off by a supercharged Charger a bit back, I was so proud.
