It all depends on the number of posts that relate to that city. I highly doubt we will add any other cities to the list other than Detroit and the GR area.

Not really, searching the threads in the Michigan forum there are only 44 threads that deal specifically with Flint, while Detroit has 603 and Grand Rapids/GR has 270. If you combine Flint and Saginaw together there are only 68 threads.

I wouldn't mind seeing something for Southwestern/Southern Michigan. I would post here more if there were areas relevant to where I live.

the reason for so few threads is due to there not being a catigory. flint/saginaw people feel theres no home for us and are not part of metro detroit so I know I dont post new threads on flint but would if there was a home for it.

plus if you go to other states on here there are usually more than 2 areas.. people coming to our state must feel there is only 2 areas in all of michigan!! there sould be a UP and flint/saginaw sections at the very least.

They had this discussion a while ago on the Ohio forum because Toledo didn't have its own forum. A couple of people petitioned the PTB and insisted that if Toledo had its own forum it would be hopping busy and that the people of NW Ohio needed their own forum because they were feeling slighted by the "Three C's". Toledo finally got its forum. Hop over there sometime and see just how busy it is, lol. Guess people in Toledo have better things to do than spend time on their new forum on C-D.

I am not saying it would be busy.. but there are subjects that dont fit in the metro detroit or grand rapids area threads. plus if you look at other states there are cities that have areas of their own that are smaller in area than say flint/saginaw. reason 3 is when people are moving to our state, should a person moving to saginaw have to post on detroit which is about 1hr and a half north of detroit? they might think saginaw is a suburb of detroit. would a southfield person care about a thread on mt morris? for the size of michigan there just should be more than 2 areas..
