With so many on this board being so worried about straight US troops being around gays, should your military ask those countries who have known gays in their ranks to remove the gays from Afghanistan ?

Yes you will get an answer along the lines of if our gays go we are all out.
So, are you in favour of known gays from other countries fighting alongside your straight troops in Afghanistan ?

Or, should the USA go it alone in Afghanistan ?

Guess which other countries do not allow known gays to serve ?

Wasn't Alexander the Great gay? Didn't stop him from conquering half the known world a few thousand years ago.

Gay people rarely disturb anybody - its pretty medieval to single them out and to give them a hard time.

It's not just the US at fault here. The military in the UK and Australia also have a policy of victimizing gay servicemen and women.

If that is happening some senior NCO is not doing his damn job.
Wait on, you said the military in the UK and Aus have official policy of victimising gays ?
Care to point out which Queen's regulation allows the victimisation of gays like the DADT does in the USA ?

The British military doesn't have any policies against gay servicemen, where did you get that from? Must be ten years ago at least since we got rid of our DADT law. I personally know a lesbian who fought in Iraq who's never mentioned having had any problems.
