Again, I would like to second the opinion that you should talk to all 5 branches. Make sure that you are speaking with officer recruiters, they are different than normal enlisted recruiters.
Aviators are always in demand, so if you think that you man want to go that way, I would get your vision corrected, as see if their are any other physical/medical issues that could disqualify you.
Any recruiter can put a qualified candidate into an officer program, from what i know.
There has to be an opening, a vacancy, a requirement, to get into any specialty. I was in an Air Guard unit and pilot positions were as scarce as hen's teeth. I'm sure it's different in different branches.
