Wow, that's some BS! Some crazy lady tresspasses, even admits to it and makes up some story how he tried to kill her with a knife and he still gets charged.
As a civilian, I certainly thank this particular veteran for his selfless service to the country. It saddens me to learn that he wanted to burn his uniform.
This said, I think he needs to focus on himself and his PTSD needs to be under control. He said he did not chase after the woman with a knife, well, I wasn't there, so I couldn't judge. I think it is entirely possible that his reality is a little bit different. I think he is frustrated, angry. It doesn't mean he was a liar. He needs a NON-judgmental environment and he should surround himself with people who care about what he goes through on daily basis.
My heart goes out to him.
