I was in usmc boot camp in 1991 . I was suffering fro nose bleeds. I was discharged. When I got my dd214 it said dishonorable. How can that be.

Dishonorable Discharges are handed out at court martial for serious crimes like murder, rape, desertion, etc. They can not be given for discharges for medical reasons, performance reasons, or other things that might lead to a discharge.

If you actually have a dishonorable discharge, depending on your state, you may not be able own firearms, vote, etc. It is similar to a felony. You don't get a DD for nose bleeds.

Not possible. Did you get your nose bleeds cause you were disruptive and started fights?

No . It was climate or allergies. The doctor ask me if I ever done drugs . I said no . No drug test no court Marshall. They just shipped me home

Did it actually say the word "Dishonorable" or does it say something else that is assumed to mean dishonorable?
