In many large cities, cops ride on horseback. I know the NYPD, Texas Rangers, FLPD, and Sarasota police all have mounted cops.

You could certainly make a career out of that.

Galveston also uses mounted police. The ocean and horses, what more could you ask for? Besides rope that is. Sorry, I just can't help myself.

Army vets get assigned to the other services as pet vets and other services that legally require a doctor but not necessarily an MD...like signing off on the commissary inspections.

Thank goodness! The only way i got my canine fix while deployed.

They treat Military Working Dogs and the pets of retirees who are authorized medical, too.

Absolutely right. I work with Army vets as part of my job. They also work in DOD as public health experts.
