Hahahaha...yes, Miss Kim remember her well, I think she was related to Mr. Lee and Mr. Park, they also had dark hair

You were fortunate enough to be there when you were still allowed to have fun. I caught the tail end of the party, halfway through my tour in 2004 the tea-totalers and bible thumpers took over.

I was in Graf for three years. You're dead on about La Strada. Also, further into town was Cafe Bohm - great knoblauchsuppe.

Also in Germany: Lexington's on Patrick Henry Village, Heidelberg. Don't know if it's still there.

My favorite was a gasthaus called the "Blau Klock" (spelling?) at the end of the strassebahn line in Furth, Germany. They had great schnitzel and cold bier.

I think this is the same restaurant i used to visit every tuesday when i was stationed in graf. in 1983 they had amazing pizza thin crust. and the most delious octopus salad made fresh every tuesday. wish i could get more of it cannot locate anything like it in the states. or i'm looking in the wrong place. i live in florida now and still crave it so so much.

If you're handy in the kitchen, have a local butcher cut you some good veal. We get many good German spices and other foods from German deli.com And I dare say there are plenty of other online sources online or maybe close to you in a local market. We have several in this area.
