Dr. Phil is entertaining but yesterday's show caught my eye.

VA patients falling through the cracks. Stories of delay of medical treatment or failure to treat.

Then yesterday a court case saying any doctor can not only refuse to treat...but can withhold information to any patient about treatment options or referrals - all in the name of 'against their morals'.

So, does the VA practice this? I've been shafted since July on treatement I was receiving at another VA - just moved to NC and they fail/refuse to treat me - saying I have to find a closer VA that does it.

The VA Health Care system should be disbanded and all of us get an insurance card - like ChampUS and ChampVA.

100%ers pay nothing
90%ers pay 10% copay and 10 month premium
80% pay 20% copay and 20 month premium
70% pay 30%/30 monthly
60%=40%/40 monthly
and so on

I'm just hurt - really hurt and in pain and it's so frustrating dealing with the VA just trying to get care. The 100 billion dollars annually the VA gets gets wasted/abused and doesn't go to the veterans.

Do you have a DAV or VA office near you? Go on line to one of the service organizations or military.com. If nothing else, contact your Congressman. Good luck. Been there, done that, it ain't fun.

I believe that is why alot of vets carry Trigon. It gets them the care they need at little cost. Though I've never heard of any veteran being turned away from Portsmouth Naval Hospital. I understand they have great care as well as the Richmond VA Hospital.
