The Army has come out with a new suicide training aid which is an interactive DVD where there are two scenarios, one for younger soldiers and one for older soldiers. More or less, you are give a situation and make decisions and those decesions decide on whether the person lives or dies.
So, here is my question - for the younger kid the situation was that his fiancee cheated on him while he was deployed and got pregnant by the other guy. What I am curious about is that it kept mentioning how embarrassed he was of the situation that he found himself in and that was one of the reasons why he did not want to talk to other people about his situation.
I personally do not understand what is to be embarrassed about. Yes, there are a lot of other emotions going on but embarrassment would never have entered my mind. Can some of the younger troops explain this to me?
Yrs ago when i was stationed in germany a sgt had sexual relations with another sgts wife. Both sgts were in my company & it caused quite a stir. The sgts wife & kids went back to the states & the sgts ex friend was transfered stateside quite quickly.
