Hello,

I'm so upset. The garbage men came on Wednesday to collect our garbage. They did not even try to move the garbage can. I ran out to move it myself, but they would not return.

Later, I called the city to tell them about my missed collection. They told me that there can't be snow under or around the can. ARE THEY KIDDING ME? DO THEY LIVE IN WISCONSIN? There's snow under and around everything!!!! They will not pickup the garbage again until next week Wednesday.

Has anyone else had issues?

I had this issue last year, but they came back later for a "courtesy pickup" or something like this. From then on I make sure to move the carts and shovel them cleanly and them put them back so that they are not trapped in the snow at all.

I live in Shorewood and they specifically state that they will not pick up cans placed in a snow bank. I went out and shoveled an area (not to the grass, though) and have not had any problems. You may want to take a quick picture next time so you have proof of where the can is going if you have to make another complaint. Remember that the can has to be pretty close to the curb and not blocked by snow so they can pull it toward the street.
