...when I move to Orange County in May.

Not in any particular order!
1) Kopp's
2) Usinger's
3) Good local/microbrews at pretty much any restaurant
4) No Traffic (except when due to weather/accidents)
5) Being able to live within walking distance of both Lake Michigan & the Milwaukee River and not have to pay an arm & a leg
6) Awesome parks & Walking/ Bike trails
7) Jake's Deli
8) Staggering amount of bars (shoutouts to Bryant's, 2Bucks, Foundation, & the Lowlander Bars)
9) Summertime
10) Nice friendly people

Things I will be glad to see the last of:
1) Potholes that literally could swallow an elephant
2) Scraping snow off my windshield
3) Temperatures below 0

Things I noticed about SoCal. Nasty bad air, no custard, burgers suck, people don't drink (like WI does), traffic is terrible, people are not as nice and live beyond their means.

One can still get some Usinger's in Orange County! Sprouts Farmers Markets carries a limited selection.

Thanks for the info. It just won't be the same though! Where else can you go and get a pound of freshly sliced quality bacon for $5!

Thanks for your concern but I was born and raised in LA and this is the best news I've had in years. You can't even try to rain on my parade.

4. Festivals
5. The lakefront
6. Serbian food

Not sure about the drinking part. Back in the 1980s, Auglaize county, Ohio and Orange county, Ca were tied for most per capita alcohol consumption. Auglaize county is full of German farmers.

Are you moving voluntarily? I like LA a lot. Though I guess the traffic is bad so you have to be smart about where you live but it seems like it gets an unfair bad rap. And I guess it's a little expensive? What type of neighborhood are you living in there and how is the cost of living?

Don't forget, though, LA and Orange County are pretty different.
