I'm 19 years old and I'm in college. My parents want me to keep a part time job while I'm taking my college classes but it's getting too stressful. I have a job right now at the mall, but they're giving me too many hours. I talked to my manager but she isn't cutting my hours enough and it's interfering with my studies.

I was wondering, does anyone know of any places that are hiring that will let me work less than 10 hours a week and be ok with it?

I live in south eastern brookfield so any place near that would be ok.

Please help.

Can you work as a server at one of the many restaurants in the area?

I know you said near south eastern Brookfield, but you could check for jobs on your college campus. They're usually more understanding of school workload & hours. Maybe schedule work hours on a campus job before or after classes on days you're at campus.

Retail and & a lot of other jobs are going to be increasing work demands soon with the holiday season approaching. Campus jobs may not be affected by that so they may be a better bet.

I completely agree. Retail demands are increasing right now until after the holidays. Maybe try a restaurant? I bet they would hire a server for a weekend shift or a few nights a week.

I also agree with checking on campus. I remember when I was in college that you could find jobs doing things from working in the union, to filing in one of the many offices, to helping in the library.

Good luck!
