Please brush your windows off. If you don't you become a safety hazard to yourself and other drivers. Snow brushes are sold at all retail outlets and auto parts stores. Thanks to the person who didn't do this and dang near pulled into my passenger side because they couldn't see that I was there. Because of you I didn't need coffee to wake me this morning

Clear the windows, it's a legal responsibility too.

Forget about those whimpy little brushes that they sell at gas stations. I went out and bought a shop broom that allows me to clear cars and trucks in seconds. Too many people simply clear a little hole to look through in the front and side and thus become dangerous.

The reason I used to only scrape a little spot of the front window, etc. was time. You tend to want to naturally sleep in on cold mornings, when even getting out of bed is a hassle. I used to sleep in until around 7:20, neglect a shower, turn on the car, and realize it was 7:30 and I had to be to school by about 7:50. I would scrape a little spot off the window with a credit card (since for some reason all the window scrapers tend to disappear) and hurry off to school in my cold car, with the windows progressively defrosting. Usually, they would be sufficiently defrosted by the time I began to encounter real traffic, people, etc. Then I would get to school at 7:53, find a parking spot by 7:58, and run to class in the extremely miserable conditions (-35 windchill) and arrive there at about 8:04...on a good day.

and just another tip---if your windows are fogging up on the inside--open the vent so the air comes in from the outside and isn't recirculating inside...

So you want to risk killing someone in an accident for 5 minutes of sleep?

I was young and stupid then, and I didn't really see it that way. That could have happened, but I would always look out the window up close.

Plus, where I began my trips was very rural, and the traffic wasn't nearly as dense as it is in most cities and suburbs.

Which means you must clear the outside vent inlet at the base of the window. Like I said: SHOP BROOM.
