I would really appreciate it if some of you could describe the residential area close to the Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester. Specifically closer to the Homestead Park. Is it safe at night? Are there break-ins? We are thinking of having my ill mom stay there for a few weeks and have no way of checking across the state lines. I would like for her to be comfortable and safe. Thanks a lot.

I've lived in Rochester for 9 years now, and that area wouldn't be my top choice. Is your mother going to be having apps at Mayo or at OMC? Will she have a car and be well enough to drive herself, or would it be best to be walking distance?
