This is great and will truly be helpful with organizing our conversations! I would like to say however, that many know the Duluth area as the Twin Ports. Superior and Duluth are generally considered one area. If you live in one, you still live and shop at times in the other. Would it be possible to sub-title the new forum "Twin Ports"?

My argument against that is:

A) Superior is in Wisconsin, which would be debatable whether that should be covered in this forum or in the Wisconsin forum.

B) Non Duluth/Superior residents are unfamiliar with the term "Twin Ports." I had never heard that before reading it just now and I've lived in Minnesota for more than 26 years.

Not a bad idea, but I agree that most people outside of Duluth or Superior won't know what the name means. I'm from Minnesota and have visited Duluth many, many times, but I hadn't heard Twin Ports before, either.

Interesting point about Superior, though. I'm not sure how that's typically handled; hopefully those with existing knowledge about Superior will gravitate to the Duluth forum, and potential newcomers to Superior will figure out that the Duluth forum might give them more useful information than the general WI forum.

I did a quick look a the ND forum and see that people there are asking about the Fargo/Moorhead area. It gets complicated with these split metro areas.

Still some threads to be moved to the Duluth Forum- for example, the Miller Hill Mall- people seem to have a lot of thoughts about it.

Thanks for that! It's a great idea for the MN forum to have a separate Duluth forum.

And I agree with the people not knowing what "Twin Ports" would mean. It's just something we hear a lot here, along with "Northland" or "The Range" when referring to the Iron Range. Heck, people don't even know what the Iron Range is. It must be "area specific".
