We are thinking of moving from northern Wisconsin to the Biloxi MS area. We have visited multiple times and like the area and what it offers retirees. Here it is unbelievable cold for 3 months. There it will be unbelievable hot for 3 months. Have any of you made the move and how did you adjust. Thank you in advance.:

I moved to that area from West Georgia. Its just normal hot weather. You will get used to it. One thing to think about . If you live South of I-10, check the cost of homeowners insurance. It can be very high because of hurricanes.

This is the best advice you can get, double, triple and quadruple check the cost of homeowner's insurance, floodplains, etc. Also, be wary that many insurers have pulled out of South LA due to hurricanes, that can very well happen to the Coast too.

Yes, there will be some unbearable days (like today), but you can work around that (by staying insdie during the heat of the day) and have magnificent weather from Mid October to May.

I would look north of I10. Tradition is a neat neighborhood (off of 67) north of Biloxi, with easy access to 49 or 10 from there. If you want to be closer to the water, maybe look look at D'Iberville (north of 10).
