hi everyone , I was wanting to know if anyone can help me with finding home rentals and getting a job?

I'm originally from the SE,but I moved out to Texas a while back when the real estate market was booming, but the past couple of months has been a dead market for me,no matter where I am, the business months are usually starting by Feb and at least by March, but it hasn't even been enough to count.

I work as a cleaner for real estate/property management/vacation rentals, making decent money, enough to not have to get normal job and work for myself, but in Texas it's just not there any more and I'm actually very happy to come back to the south east and out of Texas for that matter!

I love Miss's gulf coast! Some how the area feels soothing, I guess after being in such large cities and around such unfriendly people I find it so laid back and relaxing, but I don't know where to look or where to start.

I'm in Gulfport right now,but I don't know the price ranges here and I don't know where too look and I don't know if I could do my line of work here.If I had to take a part time job that would be o.k. but I don't know where to start on that end either.

If anyone has any info on rentals, pricing and how and where to find any work it would be apprieciated.

THANKS!

Housing in general on the Coast has been sparse since Katrina. I left there in 2002 but had a house on the market which was damaged in the storm. I know that rentals were hard to come by but it may be better now. Good Luck.

Check out Gulf Coast Realty in Gulfport. They do property management. There are A LOT of rentals out there right now because the real estate market is terrible and many, many people are forced to rent out their homes at greatly reduced rates until the market turns around and they can try to sell.

We just moved to St. Martn area a couple of months ago. We are renting a home here in a new neighborhood, but I know of new townhome and house construction near St. Martin High School. It's called New Orleans Place and rent is based on income. They are really cool townhomes and it starts around $700 I think. If you call Coldwell Bankers in Ocean Springs they have people there who can help you with rentals too. For a job check careerbuilder.com. They have some on there, as a matter of fact I just saw a property management position open in Biloxi. Good luck on your search. I think you will love it here, we do already
