KB,
I didn't mean to blow you away with the prices around Branson...the property I mentioned was about the middle of the price ranges and is REALLY nice! Almost 30 acres, lake front, practically new 3000 sqft home...really nice.
You can find properties with a few acres for under 100K around here still.
I shouldn't think your ONLY concern would be price.
One of the things I see over and over on this board is people's frustration with clique-y small towns. So you move someplace because they are cheap...maybe there's a reason! What drives price is supply and demand, right? So what happens to prices if few people want to live there!
Anyway...I just wanted to assure you that you can find what you want within a few miles of someplace nice!
Good Luck!

LJ thank you so much for being honest If I could afford it I would. I don't have that kind of money or can pay that kind of payments. Sorry! I am one of the poor people. We so poor that I couldn't get a home in California. That just how it is in the world. We don't drive fancy cars, have fancy stuff and we pay our bills, not in debt and no credit card maxed out. Just ordinary people trying to get a home for her family. We have to buy the cheap ones so we don't over extend ourselves. It would relieve the stress and make life a little more easier on us.
