Eric is probably in Jeff City most of the time right now already. I would think he has some sort of security detail.

This could help get more pro carry laws passed this session such as campus carry and chopping down the list of 17 gun free zones such as stadiums, colleges, at least that's the goal this session and it has a good chance.

Republicans dominate the senate 26-8, and 117-46 in the House and with a Republican governor don't need nowhere near 2/3 majorities to pass big pro gun bills now. Campus carry could easily pass now and probably would with 2/3 majorities in each chamber still, maybe a few senators and republicans sitting the vote out. Like right to work will probably pass with about 95 votes in the house and 20-23 in the senate.

Technically in MO it is not outlawed in statues like here in FL. It is simply up to the admins at the college to grant permission which Mizzou doesn't allow it which is why that professor is suing. For all we know the courts might grant campus carry.

However on Jan 1 with permitless CONCEALED carry if you carry onto a campus it is a crime you can be arrested for if caught versus if you have a permit you will get a citation for it. Hopefully these stupid gun free zones are removed so people without ccw permits can carry into the same places and not have to worry about being arrested.

18 year olds can carry without a permit, but it campus carry passes then they can simply apply for a Maine permit and use that since Maine issues to 18 year olds. Hopefully though these gun free zones are removed so permitless conceal carry is the same as permitted no matter what building you enter.

This can be a great year for pro gun gains as just simple majorities are needed which will be very easy to get. Missouri with permitless conceal carry is near the top for most pro gun state but it's possible it could be in the top 4 after this session. Even before permitless carry passed it already was as MO honors all ccw permits for MO residents and none residents.

The gun laws here in Florida are junk compared to MO. A lot stricter carry laws down here, and even 3 day waiting periods on handguns if someone doesn't have a ccw permit and stiffer penalties for carrying in gun free zones. If you're from Missouri or Kansas don't move to Florida if you love firearms. Florida statues are a lot more complex and contain a lot more gun laws than Missouri which has very few gun laws on the books now.
